We're dead, and somehow still dying inside.
But ya know that's week 6. We survived midterms and are low key drowning in work. Never the less we continue onward along this long journey of creating a short film!
Week 06 started a bit earlier than expected, and by that, I mean last Wednesday- which is technically week 5- I didn't put it in last week's blog, so...its in this one. Last class, we continued to troubleshoot the lack of visual development for the film. We had some great pieces made by our visual development crew- just not enough to give us options. To fix this we decided to facilitate a timed visual development challenge. Kate held the timer and gave the crew two minutes to design as many objects within categories of her choosing. Kate thought it was a little funny-until she had to participate the following Monday- then it was just stressful.

Our crew. Stressed. |

Demon baby needs to actually be in our film. |
It honestly helped our visual development crew so much! We were able to create pages of content that is useable for inspiration for our film and art book!
Thursday? Our story crew had a separate meeting with our amazing mentor Prof. Tessier in Forsyth Park. Kate wasn't there, and really doesn't know what they did during the meeting- so here are some of the pictures they took. *cries* so cute. (Kate is super sad she couldn't make it to the meeting-it looked so wholesome)

Our adorable story crew- chilling and working in the park. |

Dragons and...chickens? |
Our next full group meeting was Sunday! This time we needed to find a bigger room because this was the first time in a few weeks that the whole crew met at once. We ultimately met at the Sheds. Bless up Jenna brought donuts. The meeting was shorter than usual, we went over the final storyboards, visual development, character turn arounds, and new roles the crew would be taking on because the story people are done with boards!! Except Jane- who is working on our animatic.

I promise this meeting was super fun and pleasant- even though half our crew looks like they don't want to be there. Kate took the picture super quickly- not everyone was ready...oop. |
Monday we started to finish up the final edits for the character turn arounds, and also went over some more prop development. It was a fun meeting- though I can't say that the story crew (or myself) got too much work done.

Our story crew figuring out what to do with their free time. RIP Maeve's face. |

Overall- the week went super smooth despite all of the role changes and tight deadlines. We're starting to get towards the end of the quarter but our amazing team is still putting in 100% into this film. I can't wait to drop out the first poster and show all my dedicated readers more official bts content.
Special thanks to the box of donuts. The real MVP of the week.
