Week 03 and the Never Ending Amount of Animation.

We have made it to the end of week 03, and it is crazy how fast this quarter is going!

The week started out on Wednesday, MLK day gave us Monday off! During the weekend our T-Shirts came- YAAAY! They turned out so great, and I am happy to report we can squad up in a more effective and cult-like way.  

During our Wednesday class, we critiqued a new pass of the animatic with animation shots put in. We got pages of critique notes that were given to the crew with a new deadline and a boatload of excitement. It is so motivating to see the animatic come together with actual animation. 

Friday's make up the class was basically the same- minus a few crew members and our director. *cries* The crew who made it to class went over the new new cut of the animatic and critiqued the progress that was made. We got some great feedback from Half Full. After that, we had a long discussion about the witch's walk and looked at a lot of reference videos of old cartoon witches walking and acted it out for ourselves.

On Sunday we had a full crew meeting to get some of the rough animation shots approved to move onto tie-down and clean up. The meeting was long but we got 29 shots approved out of 80ish shots, and so many more are going to be approved, next class!

The crew didn't respond well to the 9am Sunday meeting.

Overall, we are in a very good place production-wise! We have every shot assigned, and most of the VFX shots assigned. The crew is doing an amazing job and getting done with things faster than anticipated. The layouts are moving smoothly, there so many of them and only like 3 people working on them. But out layout lead, Jenna is working magic to get it done!!!
